Susan Basterfield is a member and a catalyst at Enspiral, a global network of entrepreneurs, freelancers and companies brought together to create social impact. Before working with Enspiral, she has a 25 year career working at global corporations as an executive. Susan has great passion to support workplaces to work together in a more collaborative and non-hierarchical way, and has been continuing her effort to actualize the workplace of the future.
As a member of Enspiral where individuals and entrepreneurs share working spaces, collaborate, and share values, she believes that self-organising principles and deliberate development emancipates potential and creates humane workplaces. Susan Basterfield’s purpose is to end suffering in the workplace. As her role of a ‘catalyst’ in Enspiral, she puts for effort into understanding the thoughts and opinions of the members, and balancing it to sustain the organization’s communication and well-being. She is a founding member of the ‘Golden Pandas’, a livelihood pod standing in the Enspiral network and experimenting alternative organisation structures and livelihood, and her plentiful experiences enhance her international work with the diverse organisations intent on actualising the workplace of the future. She is the co-author of 「Reinventing Startups」 and convenor of the Practical Self-Management Intensive.
