JeongSook Yoon joined a student movement in 1980 in her university years. She has been working as a woman and civic activist since mid 1980’s. As a co-founding member of ‘Women Link’, she started and practiced feminist movement and has chaired co-representative since 2002 for 3 years. In that period, her main activities focused on gender equality and human rights.
Since 2006 to 2012, she has worked in ‘Beautiful Foundation’, civic foundation for public good as an executive director, supporting civic movement and grassroot activities. In addition, she was a director of ‘Korea Human Rights Foundation’, and now working as a director of ‘Institute for Green Transformation’, ‘Women Eco Solitary’.
When the Fukushima Nuclear Disaster broke out, she became interested in the eco feminism, green paradigm society, grassroot democracy. Also she is interested in transformative activities of civic movement through diversity and creative change. Currently, she became the co-representative of ‘Green Korea’.
The books she wrote jointly are as follows. 「Woman･Peace･Life」(1993), 「Civil Society and Civic Movement」(2002), 「Gender Budget More Cents」(2002), 「Commonwealth Secretariat, UK」, 「Rewrite Feminine Movement」(2008), 「15 Minutes Changing the World」(2012).
